I remember trying to figure out my faith as a young person. Like any person who is seeking to follow God, I asked questions about my lifestyle, habits and hobbies including technology and forms of media. Suffice it to say, I have seen lots of abuse when it comes to Christians who attempt to align their daily walk with God’s ideals by simply drawing lines around things they should avoid. I have also seen a lot of vinyl records smashed to pieces in an attempt to satisfy God.

Record smashing and book burning has yet to yield a healthy follower of Jesus – in my humble opinion. But that does not mean that we should simply surrender and allow all forms of media or technology to take over our lives.
